Jun Matsushima received a B.E. (1992) in precision engineering from University of Tokyo, an M.E. (1994) and a Ph.D. (1999) in energy and resource engineering from University of Tokyo. From 1994 through 2002, he worked at Geological Survey of Japan as a research geophysicist. From 2002 through 2004, he worked at Japan National Oil Corporation. He joined The University of Tokyo as an associate professor since 2005. He is now a professor of Department of Environment Systems, The University of Tokyo. Her research addresses challenges of chemo resistance and chemo toxicity through discovery of new lead compounds from medicinal plants, identification of proteins and genes responsible for drug resistance and treatment failure, and development of targeted of chemotherapeutic nano delivery systems. Her research strategy couples basic sciences in pharmacology, proteomics, organic chemistry, human genetics, nanotechnology, technologically advanced models, and clinical research. Prof Sekhoacha has participated in clinical trials as a Co-Investigator, and Clinical Research Associate. Prof Sekhoacha represents South Africa on the African Vaccine Regulatory Forum (AVAREF), a network of African national regulatory authorities established by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a platform for building ethics and regulatory capacity for clinical trials in Africa and promoting the harmonization of ethics and regulatory processes on the continent.

Dr Mosebetsi Leotlela and his late twin brother Mokete were born in 1959 in the Standerton district of South Africa. Both their parents were farm labourers. Dr Mosebetsi Leotlela attended Jikakhulu Primary School (a farm school near Standerton), Goakganya Combined School (Pretoria) and Tswaing High School (Pretoria), completing his school career in 1981. He subsequently enrolled for a Certificate in Paint Technology at the Technical College of South Africa (TECHNISA). In 1989, he began his tertiary education by enrolling at the Pretoria Technikon for a National Diploma in Nuclear Technology. For his in-service training, which was a Technikon requirement before one could graduate, he worked at Schonland Nuclear Research Centre (SNRC), which formed part of the University of Witwatersrand together with the Proton Induced Xray Emission (PIXE) group. He went on to do the second part of his in-service training at the Council for Nuclear Safety (CNS) and graduated in 1997. While he was enrolled for the in-service training, he concurrently enrolled for a National N Diploma in Engineering Studies at Pretoria West College of Engineering, majoring in chemical technology (N6), computer principles (N6) and engineering physics (N6), which he completed in 2000. Thereafter, he enrolled for a second National N Diploma at Centurion College of Engineering, with Missiles (N6) and Radar Systems (N6) as majors, which he completed in 2002. After completing his diploma studies, he simultaneously enrolled for a Bachelor of Technology (BTech): Technology Management at Pretoria Technikon and a Bachelor of Engineering (Ing) at Hanzehogeschool based in South Africa and the Netherlands, respectively. These degrees were both completed in 2003. In 2005, he joined Eskom as Nuclear Licensing Engineer and at the same time enrolled for a Nuclear Engineers Programme (NEP) which formed part of a Postgraduate Diploma at the University of the Witwatersrand. After completing all the prerequisite courses for the MSc, he changed his registration to MSc where his research project focused on the migration of gaseous fission products through the TRISO-coated fuel particle of the Pebble Bed Modular Reactor (PBMR) which he completed in 2010. In parallel with all this, he married and has three sons. In 2011, he enrolled for a PhD in Physics at the same university, i.e. University of the Witwatersrand, his research focus being Nuclear Criticality Safety Analysis. He discovered two flow regimes: a highly rotational core region and a unidirectional near-wall region. He coined a new parameter called symmetry ratio, which determines channel pumping and thermal performance and controls the transition from anti-asymmetry to anti-symmetry. While practicing in a hospital; I realized that when the age advances; it is not uncommon for people to struggle for cognition. My great passion is bringing healing to people who have been through traumatic situations of aging. Thus I tried to research certain beneficial aspects from ancient Indian literature to solve the mysteries of cognition behavior in geriatric population. My research article Yog and Indian Dietetics in management of Mild Cognitive Impairment focuses on different ways to help people to lead a better life.

I have completed my PhD in Environmental Science from University of Calcutta. I have 2 years of post doctoral experience and currently working as Women’s Scientist funded by DST at Jadavpur University. I have more than 14 years of working experience in field of environment of which 11 years in field of research. My area of research was combination process involving biosorption integrated with ceramic membrane based filtration is proposed for treatment of higher loading wastewater. The biosorbents were derived from waste biomass. For membrane filtration, clay-alumina based ceramic microfiltration/ ultrafiltration membrane indigenously developed at CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute was used. The combination mode of treatment was employed for various types of industrial effluent, viz. domestic wastewater, wastewater from tannery, textile, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry. In addition, recycling potential of the treated wastewater was explored in industrial/ agricultural reuse. The efficiency of the treatment process was evaluated by analyzing the environmental impacts of the untreated and treated effluent considering different plant and animal models as biomarkers. Apart from these work, my research also involves in use of microalgae for wastewater remediation for biodiesel production, biodegradation of PPCPs components, green synthesis of metal nanoparticles and observing effects on different cell lines. I have around 28 research publications in reputed Journals of high impact factor. Presently involved in pilot scale remediation of PPCP’s compounds using membrane coated with green synthesized metal oxide nanoparticles.

Ms Rani Janumpally worked as Assistant Manger (Instructor) and Research Assistant in Emergency Medicine Learning Center and Research Department at 108 GVK Emergency Management Research Institute, Hyderabad, India. Ms. Rani is certified Instructor for American Heart Association (AHA), American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), American Academy of Family Physician, Global Certification Programs (GCP) conducted at GVK EMRI. She is involved with Indian Emergency Journal (IEJ) as Editorial Assistant. She is involved with all the trainings being offered in majority of operating states of GVK EMRI.

” My name is Jyothi venkatesan.I was born in Chittoor Town, Andhra Pradesh in 1987 and graduated from Kakatiya University in 2007.
I obtained my Post graduation program in Emergency care from GVK EMRI under Stanford University in 2009.
Currently working as a clinical instructor in simulation lab for Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, I am specialized in both the simulation technologies and methods used in the planning, preparation, and execution of simulation-based healthcare training and education events.
I have worked with GVK EMRI as an advanced paramedic in Emergency Room for 7 years and 6 years of teaching Experience in training the paramedics.3 Years of Experience in simulation-based education.
In the year 2013 GVK EMRI, Tamil Nadu has recognized the services and awarded for stabilizing critical patients and saving more lives in Emergency Care Centre.
In the year 2015 received certificate of appreciation as an best Emergency care centre coordinator for the effort and significant contribution to the mission of saving precious lives.
