Graduated with a Doctor of Medicine in 1980. Multi-award-winning Doctor of Science and 1st and 2nd Degree Specialist in Psychiatry, Diploma in Psychotherapy and Master in Social Psychiatry, he worked at the National Center for Mental Health of Cuba and later at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana as a psychotherapist in Addictions and Neurotic Disorders who introduced Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy to Cuba, which he studied at the East/Wind Institute of Canada for its multiplication in Cuba. He was also awarded for excellent results in assistance, teaching, research, managerial and editorial work, in the latter, he was director of the Scientific Journal of Medical Services for several years with the achievement of excellent results. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate classes at two foreign universities, graduating specialists in other specialties. He has written three books on addictions that are used in careers in medical sciences, other related professions, in master’s degrees and doctorates in medical sciences and other related sciences. For more than 25 years, he has developed a line of research on addictions, domestic violence, drugs of abuse in general and, more recently, new psychoactive substances or drugs of current consumption. He belongs to the academic committee and the faculty of the master’s degrees in Community Mental Health, Drug Abuse Prevention and Criminal Psychology. He has published multiple publications in magazines of high scientific impact, both national and foreign, and has more than 26 honors and other recognitions and awards obtained from both Cuba and other countries. The most relevant were: Annual Scientific Award for Sciences, for the Best Doctoral Thesis, for the Best Researcher and for the Best Scientific and Technological Result in Cuba. Professor and Senior Researcher at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana, he has achieved multiple forum awards; later published in magazines and, something that typifies it, is its constant presence in undergraduate and graduate courses. Professor Tiza de Oro. Professor of Psychotherapy at his center and in other university centers and for years he made contributions to multi-thrust psychotherapy, which he wrote and published. Likewise, he tutors and advises theses at all levels of psychiatry and other related specialties; Examination Tribunals for Changes in Higher Teaching Categories, president of examination tribunals at all levels. He has always worked as head of some service. More recently he has worked in the Postgraduate and Research Department of the Victoria de Girón Faculty of Medical Sciences belonging to the University of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba, where he works at the forefront of the doctoral training process, as a Scientific Degree Methodologist Advisor. and has carried out a careful job.
