I am Dr. Yusra Amin, currently serving as a Senior Resident in the Department of Physiology at Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, Jammu & Kashmir, India. My journey into the world of medicine began right here in the beautiful valley of Jammu & Kashmir, where I discovered my passion for understanding the complexities of the human body. I started my academic journey at Government Medical College, Srinagar, where I earned my MBBS degree. It was during these formative years that I developed a deep fascination for physiology—how our organs function, how our bodies respond to stimuli, and the intricate mechanisms that keep us alive. This fascination drove me to specialize further, leading me to pursue my MD in Physiology at Government Medical College, Jammu. Throughout my academic and professional career, I have focused on areas such as cardiovascular physiology, neurophysiology, and metabolic disorders. These fields not only challenge me intellectually but also allow me to contribute meaningfully to medical research and clinical practice. Currently, my role as a Senior Resident at GMC Anantnag is deeply fulfilling. I am privileged to not only care for patients but also to teach and mentor medical students. I believe in nurturing the next generation of healthcare providers, instilling in them the importance of empathy, scientific inquiry, and evidence-based practice.
