International Best Researcher Award in the field Biotechnology

Dr. Yoha K S has completed her B. Tech in Biotechnology at Vivekananda College of Engineering for Women, Tiruchengode, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai (2010-2014) and secured University second rank in Biotechnology under Anna University Chennai (erstwhile AUT-Coimbatore-2014 Examinations). She has done her M. Tech in Biotechnology at Anna University, BIT Campus, Tiruchirappalli (2014-2016). She has worked as a Teaching Assistant at School of Chemical & Biotechnology, SASTRA University, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu (2016-2017) and as a Senior Research Fellow under DST- SERB-ECRA Project in NIFTEM-T, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu (2017-2019). She has completed her Ph.D. in Biotechnology from NIFTEM-T, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu (2018-2022). Her doctoral research work was focused on the encapsulation of probiotics with prebiotics (synbiotic powders) and in vitro evaluation on their stability and functionality for targeted delivery. At present, she is working on postbiotics (microbial metabolites) for improving non-heme iron bioavailability and interested in novel food processing techniques for the development of functional foods under ICMR – Nutrition (ICMR – Senior Research Fellowship program) at NIFTEM-T. She is a member of ISAPP – Students and Fellows Association. Qualified GATE 2018 with 85.48 percentile. Received an “International Best Researcher Award” in the field Biotechnology, ISSN International Research Awards 2022 (IIRA-2022). Also, she received the grant awards for attending the international conference (21st IUFoST World Congress, Singapore) from SERB- International Travel Support, CSIR Travel Grant and DBT-CTEP Travel Grant. She has published 8 research papers and 4 review papers in the peer-reviewed journals with a cumulative impact factor of 62.143 and an average impact factor of 6.91; besides published 6 book chapters, 1 on-going Elsevier book and presented numerous poster and oral presentations in national/international scientific conferences.
