Senior lecturer attached to the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna. Sri Lanka.

Academic Qualifications:
M. Phil in Anatomy – Faculty of Medical sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka (2017).
M.B.B.S – Coimbatore Government Medical College, Dr. M.G.R. University, India. (2006).

Research field:
Anatomy of thyroid, parathyroid glands and its blood supply
Immunofluorescence study of thyroid tissues

Teaching and academic activities:
She has 12 years of teaching experience in the field of Anatomy. She participated in the development of proposal for student’s research symposium and also served as a treasurer for the First Undergraduate Student Research Symposium, Medical Faculty of Jaffna from 2017-2018. She was served as a chairperson for the Jaffna Science Association (health science track) for 1 year and conducted the workshops and popular talks for the Jaffna society development. She was appointed as a student counselor for 2 years from 2019 to 2021 in the University of Jaffna. She obtained a certificate of excellence in reviewing the article in the indexed journal -Asian Journal of Advance Research and Reports in the year 2020. She also delivered a virtual speech during the international conference under the theme ‘Recent Research in Siddha System of Medicine 2021’’ at the Government Siddha Medical College & Hospital, Palayamkottai, Thirunelveli.

Research publications:
Her publications are original research articles, conference research papers and in the abstract forms. The full papers were published in peer reviewed international journals and in the international research conferences.
