INTERNATIONAL BEST RESEARCHER AWARD for Excellence in Fluid Mechanics

Dr. Pankaj Kumar is a resident of Deoghar, Jharkhand, originally belongs to Bheja, Madhubani Bihar. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras from the Department of Mechanical engineering in 2017. His preceding degrees (MTech & BE) are from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela and RPSIT Patna. He is working as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Chennai since June 2017. His research area includes cavitation, two-phase flows, microfluidics and atomization. He has published more than 35 research articles in international journals with more than 150 google scholar citations. He had filed five patents in his research area and out of which one is granted. He is the author of five books/chapters published by international publishers (ASME/ Springer). His single author journal paper titles “Numerical investigation of fluid flow and heat transfer in trapezoidal microchannel with groove structure” published in International Journal of Thermal Sciences, Elsevier, (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijthermalsci.2018.10.006) is one of the highest cited journal paper. He is shortlisted for “International Best Research Award-2022 ” for the contribution in the field of fluid Mechanics by ISSN.
