Dr Lalit Mohan Sharma, s/o Engg. Sh.Dina Nath Sharma R/o VPO Lagmanwin Distt Hamirpur HP India. I had three younger sisters and my parents in the family. Completed my matriculation from GSSS Bahanwin and senior secondary from GDC Dharmshala, HP. Graduated from GDC Mandi, HP. Obtained a post-graduation degree in Zoology from Dr B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra. Earned a B.Ed. from Kashmir University. Finally, completed my PhD from Abhilashi University, Chailchowk, Mandi, HP. I married my collegemate Arti and am now blessed with a daughter and a son. My hobbies are gardening, music, especially ghazals and Kawwalis. I am a fan of Jagjit Singh, Ghulam Ali, Mehdi Hassan and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. After my PG education in 2002, I started a senior secondary school in the locality to impart quality education in the sciences. So I got affiliated with my school from the state board. Since then, my team has been providing better education to local students. I completed research in 2024 on local plants to identify phytochemicals that function as antioxidants. These were Leucas aspera (Thubai), Phanera Vahlii (Taur) and Pyrus pashia (Kainth). Some important phytochemicals were obtained after extraction, and they were tested against oral, prostrate and Liver cancer cell lines. We got remarkable results, which have already been published. We are doing further research in this field along with education to school and college students. My future aim is to find specific, cheap and accurate phytochemicals that work against all types of cancers so that we can provide a quality life to humans.
