Dr. Harini Venugopal

Dr. Harini Venugopal a highly qualified and well received Assistant professor at Dairy Science College, Hebbal, Bengaluru, INDIA. Has Ten years of rich teaching experience to under graduate, Post graduate and Doctoral degree students besides worked as Technical and Quality Control Officer at Mother Dairy, Bengaluru. Presently involved in Teaching, Guiding PG students, involved in Research and Extension activities and has extended arm towards Examination Co-ordinator, External examiner ,Guiding post graduate students ,Scrutinizer, Counsellor , Academic and Time table regulation committe,Team manager for sports crew and Event manager for youth festival of college . Has published more than fifteen research publications in National and International journal including Scientific Abstracts and Review articles. Has Co-ordinated many of Extension work and is actively presenting as Resource person. Participated in many National and International Conferences as Delegate. Recipient of Best paper and Best poster presentation Award at International and National conferences .Recently awarded with Gold Medal for excellence in Doctoral Research on Technological Intervention in utilizing Nutricereals and Whey protein Concentrate in developing RTE foods and has been rewarded with Best Scientist, Innovative Researcher in Dairy Technology and Outstanding Scientist in Dairy Technology award along with Rastriya Saraswati puraskar and owns Patent for research project on RTC Kheer mix utilizing Nutricereals and Whey protein Concentrate .The best research project completed includes Development of low calorie fibre rich Gulab jamun, Development of Ready -to-Cook nuticereal and WPC based Kheer mix and Development of foxtail and WPC based softy ice cream. Associated with many of the Research bodies and is life time member of IDA, AFST (I), Indian Science Congress, Swadesi Vijana Andolana, Frontier Journal of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, World Research Council and RULA. The future prospect includes skilful teaching, dedicating more to research and extension activities. Working hard towards connecting the developed technology for upliftment of farming community besides easy commercialization of developed value dairy product.
