I take up this as an opportunity to introduce myself as Dr.Gopinath Ramalingam, I have completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Microbiology and my M.phil dissertation was focussed on the In vitro Antibacterial Activity of plant extracts against plant disease causing bacteria isolated from Citrus plant. My Doctoral research was targeted on studies pertaining to Mycobacterium tuberculosis and antimycobacterial efficacy of nanotherapy based treatment strategy using Indian medicinal plants. I have about eight years of research experience in the field of Microbiology and molecular diagnostics with specializations in Virology, Bacteriology, Immunology and Molecular biology. I also have technical expertise in Cloning, PCR technique, DNA, RNA and Plasmid purification and isolation, SDS-PAGE and Western blot, ELISA, Primer designing, Sequence analysis, Tissue culture technique, PBMC isolation, Proliferation analysis, MTT Assay, Virus isolation, Anti viral activity and Anti mycobacterial activity. COVID-19 Diagnosis, Zika virus Diagnosis, HBV & HCV RT-PCR viral Load testing, H1N1 RT-PCR testing, WGS-Oxford Nanopore Platform-SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19 Rapid antigen kit validation(ICMR), EQAS PT panel preparation (Dengue Molecular), Laboratory animal handling.
