Dr. Bhuvan Adhlakha is a dynamic academic pathologist and an emerging young researcher who has steadily carved a niche for himself in the field of diagnostic and academic pathology through sustained scholarly output, teaching excellence, and active participation in national and international scientific forums. Currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Adhlakha represents the new generation of clinician-academicians committed to strengthening pathology education and research in India. . Born in Delhi, Dr. Adhlakha completed his undergraduate medical training (MBBS) from one if the oldest medical college of the country -M.R. Medical College, Gulbarga, Karnataka, followed by an MD in Pathology. His formative years in reputed medical institutions provided him with strong foundations in histopathology, cytopathology, and hematopathology, along with early exposure to research methodology and academic writing. Following his postgraduate training, Dr. Adhlakha gained valuable clinical and academic experience as a Senior Resident at University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, New Delhi, one of the country’s premier teaching hospitals. This period was instrumental in shaping his diagnostic acumen and research orientation, particularly in complex histomorphological patterns and rare disease entities. Subsequently, he served as Assistant Professor at multiple medical institutions, currently at GIMS Greater Noida, where he actively contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Despite being relatively early in his academic career, Dr. Adhlakha has demonstrated remarkable research productivity. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications in indexed national and international journals, with research spanning histopathology, cytopathology, dermatopathology, gynecological pathology, infectious diseases, and rare tumor pathology. His work often highlights unusual presentations, diagnostic dilemmas, and rare pathological entities—reflecting his keen interest in bridging clinical suspicion with microscopic diagnosis. Several of his recent publications (2022–2024) underscore his sustained research momentum and evolving scholarly maturity. Dr. Adhlakha’s research interests are complemented by his active engagement as a peer reviewer for reputed indexed journals. This role reflects both his academic credibility and his commitment to maintaining scientific rigor among young researchers. Recognized for his academic potential, Dr. Adhlakha has been invited as a speaker at international conferences, including the Emirates Pathology & Digital Pathology Conference, and has presented scientific papers and posters at several national and international forums. His participation in specialty workshops at premier institutes such as NIMHANS and Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology further illustrates his dedication to continuous learning and subspecialty exposure. As a trained faculty member in Basic Course in Medical Education (BCME), Dr. Adhlakha integrates modern pedagogical approaches into pathology teaching, with particular interest in competency-based medical education and innovative learning strategies. He is especially passionate about mentoring undergraduate students and encouraging early exposure to research and academic writing.
