Dr. Basavarajeshwari B is a distinguished Ayurvedic Doctor, academician, and researcher currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Roganidana at SJGAMC&H, Koppal. A University 10th Rank holder in MD (Ayurveda), she exemplifies strong academic merit, professional discipline, and a sustained commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and clinical practice. Her work reflects a balanced integration of classical Ayurvedic diagnostic principles with contemporary clinical and laboratory approaches to strengthen evidence-based education and patient care. She completed her MD (Ayurveda) from SDM College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan, securing University 10th Rank, and earned her BAMS degree from DGM Ayurvedic Medical College, Gadag. In addition, she holds a Certificate in Yoga Studies from Karnataka University, reinforcing her holistic perspective on health, disease prevention, and lifestyle management. Her academic foundation is further strengthened by formal certification in Research Methodology through NPTEL/SWAYAM, enabling her to undertake structured research, data interpretation, and scholarly publication. As an educator, Dr. Basavarajeshwari is actively involved in teaching undergraduate theory and practical classes in Roganidana. She places strong emphasis on clinical reasoning, diagnostic clarity, and the application of Ayurvedic concepts in contemporary healthcare settings. She has hands-on expertise in laboratory and clinical diagnostics, including Hematology, Urology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology. Her multidisciplinary clinical competence is enhanced by certified training in Palliative Care, ECG interpretation, and Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT), supporting comprehensive and patient-centered diagnostic assessment. Her research profile includes an MD dissertation based on a case-control study evaluating Nidra Viparyaya (sleep reversal) in Amlapitta. She has authored multiple articles published in indexed journals such as IAMJ, WJPPS, and AYUSHDHARA, focusing on diagnostic methods, ocular health, and Ayurvedic pathophysiology. She has presented more than ten scientific papers and posters at national and international conferences and has received awards for her academic contributions, including national-level poster recognitions.
