Dr. Anisha S Ashraf is an enthusiastic Ayurvedic surgeon with a vision of developing surgical scopes in the field of Shalya Tantra. She has completed her UG from MVR Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Parassinikkadavu, Kannur, Kerala and PG in Shalya Tantra from SDM College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan, Karnataka. Currently, She is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Shalya Tantra at SJGAMC, Koppal, Karnataka. The passion for medical sciences was infused in her since her childhood because of a strong Ayurvedic background. That passion drives her to dedicate her entire life for Ayurveda and to use her experience as an Ayurvedic surgeon and her ability to connect with patients to help fill a need in the field of Ayurveda. Her areas of interest are Anorectal disorders, Cyst excisions, Disarticulations/ Amputations, Non healing ulcers, Vascular disorders – Varicose vein, TAO, Hepatobiliary disorders, Gastrointestinal disorders, Parasurgical procedures and Marma therapy. She has done nearly 100 surgeries independently during and after her PG life. She is envisioning a bright future where Ayurveda and other medical disciplines can go hand in hand for a successful jounery as well as for the betterment of public health.
