Dipanjan Mandal is an esteemed Assistant Professor at the Gurunanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology in Kolkata, where he has been nurturing the next generation of pharmaceutical professionals since 2011. His journey in academia began with a robust educational foundation, earning a B. Pharmacy from the Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri, followed by an M. Pharmacy in Pharmacology from JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, Tamil Nadu. His commitment to holistic student development is evident in his efforts to guide students through their projects, admissions, and practical lab work, as well as encouraging their participation in various events and conferences. An active researcher, Dipanjan has contributed significantly to the field of pharmaceutical sciences. His research interests are diverse, encompassing the Chronopharmacology , hepatoprotective and antioxidant activities of natural products, anti-diabetic properties of plant extracts, and the pharmacological benefits of polyherbal formulations. His work has been published in reputable journals such as the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Educational Research,International Journal of Pharmaceutical science and research and the Journal of Innovation in Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences. Some of his notable publications include studies on the anti-diabetic activity of pigmented and non-pigmented flowers and CHRONOPHARMACOLOGICAL ASPECT ON IMPAIRMENT OF LIVER CIRCADIAN CLOCK AND HEPATIC DYSFUNCTION. Dipanjan’s dedication to research has earned him several accolades. He received the Appreciation Award for his contributions to research and development from the JIS Group and was awarded a University Grants Commission (UGC) grant to pursue his M. Pharm course due to his excellent performance in the GATE 2008 exam. Additionally, he secured the 87th rank in the National Level Pharmacy Talent Search Examination in 2009. In his academic career, Dipanjan has actively participated in numerous conferences and seminars, presenting his research findings and collaborating with peers. His presentations have covered a range of topics, from the pharmacological benefits of natural products to advancements in pharmaceutical education and research.
