Dr. Jelang Jelku D. Sangma has completed her B.Sc. Community Science from College of Community Science, Central Agricultural University (Imphal), Tura, Meghalaya, India. Secured ICAR seat for Masters Degree (Home Science, 2017) in PJTSAU, Hyderabad, India and ICAR seat for Doctoral Degree Program (Ph.D. Food Science and Nutrition, 2019) in UAS, GKVK, Bangalore, India. Recipient of UGC NET JRF (2019-2024) and also cleared ASRB NET (2019). From M.Sc. Research work “Development of Foxtail malt mix” got selected for Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Best Innovation Award category in 24th World Congress on Clinical Nutrition with 1st Congress on Medical Food and Nutrition in 2021. Published around 8 research papers, 7 review articles and 1 book chapter. Currently working as Young Professional 2 AICRP-WIA in College of Community Science, Central Agricultural University (Imphal), Tura, Meghalaya, India. M.Sc. research topic is “Germinated Foxtail Millet: Nutritional Analysis and Development of Malt Mix”. Ph.D. Research topic is “Processing and In-vitro studies of Chia (Salvia hispanica L.) value added products.
